Sláinte Healthcare is a leading international technology company that provide software & services that drive efficiencies and quality in healthcare. We are Europe’s fastest growing healthcare technology company (Deloitte Fast 500, 2013 EMEA). Through the deployment of our proprietary software we enable healthcare providers internationally to create efficiencies while also reducing costs, reducing change management challenges and providing better patient outcomes. Our clients have achieved major gains in clinical and administrative processes, resulting in a redirection of resources and headcount towards patient care, with a minimisation of clinical risk.
‘Sláinte’ – pronounced ‘Slawn-tcha’ – is the Gaelic for ‘good health’. Sláinte was founded in 2006 by CEO, Andrew Murphy. Andrew originally studied chemical engineering and spent his early career as a Plant Manager at one of the world’s largest adhesive plants, there he developed a reputation for the innovative use of technology to improve efficiency, quality and cost reduction. Andrew's background meant he looked at healthcare organisations with a different view, seeing how he could apply a combination of software & process innovation to create efficiencies.
Sláinte Healthcare's first product, Claimsure which came to the market in 2006 met a gap in the revenue cycle management process in Irish hospitals. It replaced the inefficient paper based process with an entirely electronic process, allowing for faster administration, less duplication & the creation of opportunities for financial & administrative efficiencies. By 2015 the Claimsure software was being used in over 55 Irish hospitals, both public and private, and is being used in all of Ireland's Health Service Executive (HSE) acute hospitals. Claimsure processed approximately €1.8bn worth of health insurance claims in Ireland annually. In December 2015 Sláinte Healthcare sold Claimsure and it's associated services to Clanwilliam Group.
In 2012 we launched our Vitro platform to market in order to address the worldwide gaps in moving from paper to electronic records in Hospitals. Within the first year Vitro was being rapidly adopted by clients worldwide. We currently have clients across Europe, Asia Pacific, South America and The Middle East. Vitro's premise of using "your content, your care pathways, your business rules and your clinical expertise" means clients receive a bespoke clinician centric EMR that puts them on a rapid path to becoming a paperless hospital.
Sláinte Healthcare employs over 140 staff internationally with offices in Ireland (HQ), The Middle East, Brazil, Australia and Asia.
