Vitro enables a user to reflect a Paper Form upon a screen (be that a PC, Laptop, iPad, Tablet, Computer on Wheels, Slate etc) and enable that Form to be populated with data from the EMR, additional information captured (validated and automated) and the document then eSigned and sent to sit alongside the existing Patient information and documentation. The Vitro approach can be used for any Paper Form design and eSignature currently used alongside your EMR or other Enterprise Solutions used, such as your ERP.
This video will show you some of Vitro’s features.
Vitro eSignature is completely unique in that it is guaranteed to integrate into a hospital’s existing HIS/EMR. Use of the existing form, converted to an electronic format, allows adoption right across the hospital and the added integration results in less keying, reduced errors and no duplication.
Vitro Charts is an innovative chart management application that progressively eliminates paper charts in acute hospitals. Uniquely, it delivers a full end-to end reconciliation of both electronic and paper data such that at all times, clinicians can have full confidence in the completeness of their patient record.
Storage and retrieval of paper charts costs hospitals millions annually as well as compromising patient safety. Even where charts are tracked successfully, chart contents are not discretely catalogued or analysed for completion. As a result, the scope for missing or inaccurate chart elements is significant and may contribute to clinical governance concerns. With Vitro, these problems can be eliminated.
Vitro addresses the disconnect between electronic and paper patient records, delivering end-to-end visibility of the patient record and reconciling where data is missing ,whether generated on paper or electronically.
By representing all existing pre-printed chart stationery in electronic format, pre-completed with demographic and clinical information, Vitro encourages the capture of bedside data electronically, rather than as handwritten notes. Where paper must be used, it is printed from Vitro, tagged with patient detail and barcoded with patient and document data. This ensures that large volumes of paper can be automatically scanned back into patient records without the need for manual indexing or intervention
Notably, if documents are printed, Vitro “checks out” such documentation to the user, ensuring that such documentation must be reconciled back to the patient record post write-up. At all times, the clinician knows whether the electronic patient record is a full or partial reflection of the current patient status.
Vitro Charts is aligned to Sláinte Healthcare’s Vitro Forms platform, which integrates to all existing hospital systems to deliver a seamless electronic view and categorisation of current, past and prospective patients by ward/physician/department/discharge code or any other relevant parameter.
